Job Title - Senior Teacher – Biology

Location - Bangalore, India (Yemalur)
Qualification -  B.Ed and Degree(s) in Biology. Proven knowledge of specialism.

Preferable work experience -  Minimum 4 years’ experience in an IB school.
Desirable -  Knowledge of MYP and DP and Indian Exam Board.

• Plan, prepare, develop and deliver courses of study to a range of classes according to curriculum guidelines and school requirements.
• Development of key skills in Biology across all grades (MYP-DP)
• Tailor and differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of student’s levels of academic ability and previous achievement.
• Develop and present lesson plans by using a variety of teaching models and techniques. Use relevant technology to support teaching.
• Research new topic areas, devising and writing new curriculum course materials as required.
• Observe, monitor and assess students on-going progress. Prepare assignments and tests for in-school assessment and homework.
• Mark work and maintain accurate and complete records of students' academic progress and achievements.
• Inform parents of student’s progress of academic performance, attendance, and participation; reporting on all elements of student development at parent-teacher conferences, both regularly scheduled and as-needed.
• Keep up to date with developments in specialist subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.
