ICT Teacher

ICT Teacher

Job Purpose:

  • To identify and promote core learning skills and teaching strategies in ICT. Plan and deliver ICT teaching which ensures progress for all students
  • To encourage best practice through support, advice and training opportunities in science across school (PYP and MYP).
  • To plan, promote, facilitate development and co-ordinate all ICT activities across school (PYP and MYP).
  • To facilitate the CAS programme in school

Reports to: Curriculum Co-ordinator/ Branch Head/ Functional Head

Main working relationships: Principal/ Branch Head/ PYP & MYP Coordinator/ Functional Head


  • To lead Curriculum development for ICT Plan, prepare, develop and deliver courses of study in ICT to a range of classes according to Neev curriculum guidelines and school requirements.
  • Development of Key Skills in ICT subjects across all grades.
  • Develop and present lesson plans by using a variety of teaching models and techniques in the subject areas. Use of relevant technology to support teaching.
  • Prepare and procure resources to support delivery of the ICT curriculum including Laboratory Computer Centre facilities.
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day management, control and operation of course provision for ICT teaching, including effective deployment of staff and physical resources.
  • To ensure that Safety policies and practices in the ICT Laboratory Centre are in line with Neev requirements and are updated where necessary.
  • Research new topic areas, devising and writing new curriculum course materials in ICT as required.
  • To keep up to date with national and international developments in the subject area and teaching practice and methodology. Make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.


Library coordinator

Library Coordinator


  • Establish, develop and maintain a library management information system to classify all books and resources used by teachers for reference and students.
  • Source and facilitate the purchase of a wide range of resources to support learning across all areas of the curriculum, including materials, which reflect a range of cultures, perspectives and languages.
  • Work alongside teachers and students in the development and exploration of Units of Inquiry, facilitating an inquiry approach to learning is a key element of the role.
  • Support teachers in developing classroom based libraries to create a language rich environment.
  • Source programmes and applications on the Internet that support students inquiry led learning and teacher’s planning and implementation of the curriculum.
  • Ensure that information, resources and services are used to the best possible advantage in every subject and year level
  • Engage in regular professional development activities
  • Provide an environment that will create suitable conditions and resources for research and reading
  • Create displays, for example books linked to POI’s, author focus
  • Contribute to the wider school curriculum for example a book club
  • Prepare book reviews
  • Attend faculty meetings and inset training as required by the school management.
  • Facilitate and organize visits and talks by authors and storytellers.
  • Support teachers to plan and organize special events, such as storybook days.

Senior Teacher – Physical Education & Swimming Coach

Job Purpose:

  1. 1. To identify and promote core learning skills and teaching strategies in Physical Education in Primary and Middle School. Plan and deliver the Physical Education subject teaching (Theory and Practical) which ensures progress for all students.
  2. 2. To develop in each child an understanding of the relationship of good body function and exercise; to motivate each child to cultivate physical fitness, hygienic habits, and good social and emotional skills; to identify and develop talents of children in different fields of sport; to develop strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual, and team physical activities and sports, in accordance with each child’s ability.

Reports to: HOD – Physical Health Education

Main working relationships: Branch Head/ Curriculum Co-ordinators (PYP and MYP)


  • Plan, prepare, develop and deliver courses of study in Physical Education to a range of classes according to Neev curriculum guidelines and school requirements.
  • Develop and present lesson plans by using a variety of teaching models and techniques in the subject area. Use relevant technology to support teaching.
  • Teach knowledge and skills in physical fitness, health education, and individual, dual, or team sports and other appropriate learning activities in the field of sports.
  • Observe, monitor and assess students’ on-going progress. Prepare assignments for in-school assessment.
  • Mark and maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and achievements.
  • Inform parents of student’s progress of academic performance, attendance, and participation and performance and attendance in sports; reporting on all elements of student development at parent-teacher conferences, both regularly scheduled and as-needed.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
