IBDP FACILITATOR : SPORTS, EXERCISE AND HEALTH SCIENCE (SEHS)

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Subject teacher responsibilities

  • Plan and teach lessons following the IB curricula that differentiate for individual student needs.
  • Regularly contribute to curriculum planning and development including Inter disciplinary units of work.
  • Plan with colleagues to deliver effective team teaching when possible.
  • Supervise Internal Assessment in Sports exercise and health science
  • Supervise IBDP extended essays in Sports exercise and health science.
  • Attend regular curriculum planning and student progress meetings.
  • Keep parents informed about student progress and attending parent meetings.
Whole school responsibilities
  • Take an active part in the provision of extra-curricular activities.
  • Take an active part in creating a distinctive ethos for the school and encouraging high standards of conduct according to the school behaviour policy.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
  • Collaborate professionally with colleagues on the growth and development of sports programme at Neev Academy
  • Engage professionally with new initiatives undertaken by the school.
Administrative responsibilities
  • Prepare student reports and references, and other reports as required.
  • Carry out supervision at break times, lunch times and other times as required.
  • Prepare documentation for IB external assessment.
Professional learning
  • Demonstrate a genuine, active interest in on-going personal professional development.
  • Contribute to initiatives for innovation in the use of learning technologies.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in the IB

Qualifications: Should have done Masters in sports.

Work Experience : Prefer candidates with experience in similar capacities in an IB School. Should have taught SEHS for at least 02 batches with excellent results, SEHS Examining experience is a mandatory requirement.

Desirable : Involved in SEHS curriculum review.

SENIOR TEACHER: ICT / DESIGN

Job Purpose:

  • To identify and promote core learning skills and teaching strategies in ICT/Design subject.
  • Plan and deliver the subject teaching which ensures progress for all students.
  • To implement the MYP Design curriculum, assessment and reporting process.
  • To deliver a comprehensive, high quality, 21st Century education program focused on computer applications and the MYP Design Cycle.

Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, develop and deliver courses of study to a range of classes according to Neev curriculum guidelines and school requirements.
  • To lead ICT/Design curriculum development across MYP grades.
  • Tailor and differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of student’s levels of academic ability and previous achievement.
  • Develop and present lesson plans by using a variety of teaching models and techniques. Use relevant technology to support teaching.
  • Prepare and procure resources to support delivery of the ICT/Design curriculum.
  • Research new topic areas, devising and writing new curriculum course materials as required.
  • Observe, monitor and assess students on-going progress. Prepare assignments and tests for in-school assessment and homework.
  • Keep up to date with developments in specialist subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.

Qualifications:

GERMAN TEACHER

Job Purpose:

  • To identify and promote core learning skills and teaching strategies in language.
  • Plan and deliver language teaching which ensures progress for MYP students.
  • To identify and promote core learning skills and teaching strategies in Language.

Duties:

  • To fulfil all duties as a teacher for Neev Academy.
  • To prepare and implement schemes of work throughout the school appropriate to meet the needs of different ability levels.
  • To plan language curriculum development.
  • Plan, prepare, develop and deliver courses of language study.
  • To arrange classes according to Neev curriculum guidelines and school requirements.
  • Prepare resources to support delivery of the language curriculum.
  • Develop and present lesson plans by using a variety of teaching models and techniques in Language in MYP.
  • Use relevant ICT to support teaching.
  • To liaise with the management to maintain accreditation with the relevant competitive examination and validating bodies.
  • To keep up to date with national and international developments in the subject area and teaching practice and methodology. Make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
  • To offer out of schools clubs/ activities to promote language and culture.
  • Update job knowledge by attending faculty meetings; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Should be certified B2 level in German Language
  • Prefer candidates with experience in teaching German Language.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Job Purpose:

  • The role of the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator is to provide direct and indirect support for students with special needs and for staff who are teaching students with special needs.

Duties:

  • To collaborate with the LST (Learning Support Staff) in the development and articulation of a special needs Vision for the school.
  • To contribute to maintaining and developing the ethos, values and overall purposes of the school
  • Planning and delivering improvement which will translate school mission and policies into actions
  • Identifying, planning, timetabling, running, staffing and monitoring intervention and small groups, supporting students in need of intervention
  • To have a passion for providing opportunities for all students to reach their potential within a genuine community environment
  • To use an inclusive approach to education that fits the school’s mission and ability.

Qualifications:

  • Should possess a Bachelors/Master/Diploma in Special Educational Need.

Duties:

  • Educate students by planning and developing courses of study according to Neev Academy curriculum guidelines and school requirements.
  • Tailor and differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of student’s levels of academic ability and previous achievement.
  • Develop and present lesson plans by using a variety of teaching models and techniques.
  • Planning the indoor and outdoor environment in order to provide a positive, creative and stimulating context for learning and teaching.
  • Preparation of resources to support delivery of the curriculum indoors and outdoors.
  • Observe, monitor and assess students on-going progress. Prepare assignments and tests for in-school assessment and homework.
  • Maintain good disciplinary order in the classroom.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy educational environment.
  • Undertake pastoral duties, such as supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties
  • Keep parents informed of children’s progress by maintaining records of academic performance, attendance, and participation; reporting on all elements of student development at parent-teacher conferences, both regularly scheduled and as-needed.
  • Provide student support services, such as additional study periods, student clubs and activities, trips.

VISUAL ARTS

Job Purpose:

  • Promotes and nurtures the creativity of all students by planning and tailoring a visual arts curriculum to meet the needs of students across all age groups.
  • Implement the visual arts curriculum both during term-time and vacation-time. Ensure that the regular curriculum for children fosters creativity with optimal, age appropriate exposure to different media, visual and creative arts.
  • Update knowledge and skills through on-going professional development.

Duties:

  • Educate students by planning and developing courses of study according to Neev curriculum guidelines and school requirements.
  • To support teachers to incorporate and promote creativity throughout the entire curriculum.
  • To work with teachers in the classroom in delivering the visual arts curriculum.
  • To deliver in service training for teaching staff.
  • To train teachers in display techniques and to promote displays of a high quality in all branches.
  • Develop and present lesson plans and learning intentions.
  • To document the visual art curriculum.
  • To offer discovery programmes for students as part of the school day
  • To plan exhibitions celebrating student’s achievements.
  • To plan and conduct workshops/activities for children during vacations.
  • To travel to various branches within Bangalore as and when desired by the management/required by the organization.
  • Prepare resources to support delivery of the curriculum.
  • To be responsible for sourcing resources locally and on the Internet.
  • To maintain records of teaching to keep parents informed of student’s progress.
  • Network with specialists and external professionals to keep informed of new developments.

ASSITANT- LIBRARY

Job Purpose:

  • The School Library Assistant’s key function is the management, development and promotion of the library within the school to ensure that an effective resource and information service is provided to all students and staff.

Duties:

  • Establish, develop and maintain a library management information system from cataloguing to classifying and maintenance of all books and resources used by teachers for reference and students.
  • To develop and maintain the Inventory and stock checklist.
  • Source and facilitate the purchase of a wide range of resources to support learning across all areas of the curriculum, including materials, which reflect a range of cultures, perspectives and languages.
  • Support teachers in developing classroom based libraries to create a language rich environment.
  • Provide an environment that will create suitable conditions and resources for research and reading
  • Create displays, for example books linked to POI’s, author focus
  • Assist teachers to organize special events, such as storybook days.
  • Assist the librarian in managing the classes.

Qualifications:

  • Should possess a Bachelors or Masters in Library and Information Systems
  • Prefer candidates with experience as a Librarian Assistant’s in IB schools

EXECUTIVE-ADMISSIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS

Job Purpose:

  • Coordinating the Admissions procedure with the school admissions team; admissions data maintenance.
  • Communication of all school events with parents.

Reports to:Head of Admissions.

Duties:

  • Taking care of inquires, appointments and admission processes of children from start to end.
  • Maintaining enrolment data of the children.
  • Taking care of the withdrawal process and transferring of the children.
  • Communicating with parents over phone and scheduling admissions appointments
  • Coordinating with all Neev branches on admissions status and data.
  • Maintaining and sharing updated reports regarding admissions.

Qualifications:

  • Should possess a Bachelors or Masters in Library and Information Systems
  • Prefer candidates with experience as a Librarian Assistant’s in IB schools

PROJECT MANAGER (Civil Construction)

Job Purpose:

  • Project manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, executive, control and completion of project, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the organization.

Duties:

  • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables, along with tasks and required resources.
  • Preparation of detailed construction schedule
  • Organizing, managing and monitor the resource mobilized by the contractors and suppliers.
  • Management of work front and interfaces between contactors.
  • Monitoring contractor’s procurement and material delivery at site.
  • Monitoring of contractor progress and identification of delay factors.
  • Issue timely reports to the client about safety, progress, cost, quality and deviation.
  • Finding various options available at various stages of the project to provide value added inputs.
  • Make adequate and correct documentation of the project for dealing with legal and contractual aspects of all works.
  • Monitor and control the progress to keep the works completed on schedule and within the budget.
  • Conduct site co-ordination meetings to achieve quality/cost and adherence to the time schedule.
  • Conducting design co-ordination meetings with architects/ design consultants along with the contractor/ agencies to ensure timely delivery of working drawings.
  • Prior flagging of anticipated bottlenecks and analysis of its reason to avoid unnes=cessary delays.
  • Conducting weekly project review meetings

Qualifications:

  • Should possess a Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering
  • Prefer candidates with experience as Project Managers in a IB School.
