Learning and Development

The power of the early childhood practice at Neev gives us children who enter our older classes ready to take on the world. The strength of the grade school programme explodes the boundaries of their horizon.

The premise of learning at Neev:

  • Learning in the early years needs to be in context – moving out in gradually concentric circles to more abstract concepts
  • Real learning happens when children are motivated to drive their own learning and harness their abilities as they grow constantly seeing the purpose and real-world connect of their learning
  • The challenge of exams lies not in the mastery of content as much as in the motivation of learners

“The ultimate goal of the educational system is to shift the burden of pursing his own education to that individual. This will not be a widely shared pursuit until we get over our odd conviction that education is what goes on in school buildings and nowhere else”
- John W. Gardner
